Get put in a box and given the worst work until you’ve “served your time.” Expected to work around the clock for people that care little about you. You feel increasingly handcuffed by your own success, instead of rewarded for excellence. It’s not why any of us got into this work, and not what any good lawyer deserves. It’s certainly not how a modern firm needs to operate to be great, and how attorneys need to work to build a career.
